Die Alpinestars Tech-7 verwendet eine proprietäre Kohlenstofffaserverstärkte Kunststoff-Struktur, die darauf ausgelegt ist, die Aufnahmefähigkeit von Aufprallen zu maximieren, während die Gesamtmasse minimiert wird. Die innere Struktur verfügt über einen Multi-Dichtepolystyrol-Linern, der sich an die Kopfform des Fahrers anpasst, und bietet somit eine überlegene Energieabfuhr bei Frontal- und Seitenaufprallen, ohne die Komfort zu beeinträchtigen.
