LS2 FF396 nutzt ein EPS-Innenfutter mit Mehrfach-Dichtestruktur, das darauf ausgelegt ist, hohe Aufprallenergie zu absorbieren und gleichzeitig die strukturelle Integrität bei Rotationskräften zu gewährleisten. Die Schalenkonstruktion besteht aus einer Kohlefaser-Verbundstruktur, die auf einen ABS-Kern aufkaschiert ist, wodurch das Gesamtgewicht deutlich reduziert wird, ohne die für den Aufprallschutz erforderliche Steifigkeit zu beeinträchtigen.
